The key responsibilities of the Project Manager role:
- Co-design a highly effective strategy and develop detailed plans for the delivery of allocated projects
- Direct, design and implement delivery of allocated projects, ensure delivery of the outcomes set out in the project and identify any current or future resources
- Support the development of rigorous evaluation and performance monitoring throughout planning and implementation
- Work in partnership with appropriate governance arrangements for the project
- Flexibly respond to emerging risks or issues
- Make recommendation on future ongoing work and associated resource requirements
- Manage delegated project budgets
To co-design and co-deliver the OPIP project.
To co-develop a highly effective project plan for the OPIP programme and support the Programme Lead and providing service leaders to mobilise the projects within it.
To report to the OPIP management group and its sub-groups regularly and complete high quality, timely and validated statutory report submissions
Critically evaluate and interpret evidence-based practice, making informed judgments about their implications for changing/developing services and clinical practice.
Provide highly specialised advice concerning the care of identified groups of adults and children.
To manage the project support officer role and be responsible for managing employee relations issues such as absence, capability and investigations, as well as carrying out supervisions and appraisals.
To participate in regular supervision with line manager to ensure traction of projects.
To be pro-active in developing, partnerships building and cultivating support.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Understanding of healthy weight work with children and adults
- Specialist knowledge relating to working with vulnerable communities
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in evidence based interventions
- Knowledge of a range of presentations and interventions related to healthy lifestyles and weight management in children and adults
- Educated to Masters degree level or comparable work experience
- Experience of highly effective communication with statutory bodies
Desirable
- Direct experience of working in or closely with schools, primary care, acute and community trusts and local authority teams
- Experience of representation at and organisation of multiagency meetings and events.
- Experience of service development
- Experience supervising and managing other staff members
- Good knowledge of local children's and adult services
- Understanding of the national OPIP programme
- Experience of co-production with children and adults
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate highly complex and sensitive information to patients, carers/families and all members of the multidisciplinary team
- Analysis of complex data, including service data, qualitative narrative, including good information technology knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
- Excellent report writing skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Good self/time management and organisational skills
- Experience of managing projects and delivering evaluation of project impact using both key lines of enquiry and synthesized outcome measures.
Desirable: - Use of multimedia materials for presentations in professional settings; - Ability to respond to reporting requests
