Location: London/GreenwichSalary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experienceContract: Full Time We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping pupils develop the skills they need to achieve greater independence, participation, and wellbeing. Day-to-Day of the Role:

Assess pupils' functional, sensory, physical, and developmental needs.Develop and implement individualised occupational therapy programmes and interventions.Support pupils in developing independence, self-care, sensory regulation, motor skills, and access to learning.Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.Provide guidance and training to staff on therapeutic strategies and classroom adaptations.Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate clinical records and reports.Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews where required.Recommend and support the use of specialist equipment, resources, and environmental adaptations.Promote a holistic and pupil-centred approach to therapy and wellbeing. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in Occupational Therapy.Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).Experience working with children and young people, preferably within a SEND or educational setting.Strong understanding of sensory processing, motor development, and therapeutic interventions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experience contributing to EHCPs and working collaboratively with families and professionals is desirable.
