Senior Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team. In this pivotal role, you will work across short-term interventions, long-term assessment, and safeguarding services to enhance the independence and well-being of individuals aged 18 and over. You will be instrumental in delivering strengths-based assessments and implementing person-centred support plans that prioritise dignity and respect. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive, strengths-based Occupational Therapy assessments, including functional and environmental evaluations.Provide expert guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to support colleagues, students, and practitioners.Manage complex caseloads with professional autonomy, ensuring risk management and statutory compliance.Develop and review risk mitigation plans, ensuring individuals are protected and supported to achieve independent outcomes.Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to ensure integrated care and optimal service delivery.Implement safeguarding policies, ensuring the safety of vulnerable adults in accordance with the Care Act. Qualifications:
Accredited Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent professional qualification.Current registration with the appropriate professional body.Proven experience in independent assessment and support delivery at a senior level.Successful completion of ASYE or equivalent significant post-qualification experience.In-depth knowledge of national legislation, statutory frameworks, and safeguarding principles.Willingness to complete Best Interest Assessor (BIA) training.Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
