Our Short Term Pathways Occupational Therapy Teams are fast-paced, creative and highly collaborative, supporting people to return home safely following a period of ill health, hospital admission or stay in a care setting. We are looking for an inspiring and motivated Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join our West Kent Short Term Pathways Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support a skilled team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy

Assessment Officers, helping to shape excellent day-to-day clinical practice and drive positive team performance. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with Short Term Pathways Social Care colleagues, Health Discharge teams, Kent Enablement at Home, Community Health Services and Social Care Occupational Therapy Teams. Together, you will take a coordinated, preventative, and person-centred approach to maximising independence, reducing the need for long-term care and helping people achieve meaningful outcomes in their own homes. You will also be able to build specialist expertise in moving and handling, enablement approaches, specialist equipment, and major adaptations, ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, personalised interventions that genuinely improve lives. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
