To develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to be responsible for, and manage a wide range of OH nurse activities as follows:
Providing OH advice
- Screening Workplace Health Questionnaires:o Referral assessment:o Management of Contamination incidents from Bodily Fluid Exposure:o Management and Control of Certain Illnesses and Infections:o Health Surveillance Programmes:o Occupational Health Clinics:o Counselling:

Many people think the job of the ambulance service is to collect patients and take them to hospital, but we do much more!
Paramedic skills have developed hugely in recent years, meaning we carry out more treatment at the scene and en-route to hospital.
We have a dedicated clinical assessment service that allows us to provide patients with the most appropriate care from the beginning of the patient journey.
We have a specialised branch of the Trust called HART which deal with explosions or terrorist attacks.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential: - Registered General Nurse - Adult Post-registration nursing experience required. Evidence of continuing professional developmen
Desirable: - Health promotion certificates Counselling certificate
Experience
Essential: - Experience and ability to work within and across a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of working in an occupational health service.
Desirable: - Experience of working in the NHS.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude
Essential
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage complex and sensitive issues with discretion. Communication and problem solving skills. Intermediate level computer skills, MS Word, Exel and Powerpoint. Venipuncture and Vaccination skills
Desirable: - Knowlede of NHS and current legislation.
