Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiographer

We provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including non-imaging tests. The role includes; quality assurance of equipment, ordering of radiopharmaceuticals, dispensing from multi-dose vials and administration via injection, inhalation and ingestion. The majority of imaging of patients is with SPECT-CT and sometimes includes contrast CT. The role requires regular training and auditing of skills as well as involvement with updating of documentation. Safe use and handling of radioactive materials is important.

Qualifications

Essential: - Qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiographer

Desirable: - Registration with HCPC or Membership of RCT

Experience

Essential: - Post qualification experience working in Nuclear Medicine

Desirable: - Post qualification experience working with SPECT/CT or PET

Desirable: - Cannulation; - Contrast administration
