To carry out diagnostic MRI examinations either alone or under the guidance of Senior MRI Radiographers, producing optimum quality images and deliveri...
- To undertake general MRI tasks, in line with governmental and departmental protocols, working both alone and within MR teams.
- To check patient identification and documentation, and ensure the appropriate MRI examinations are carried out in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical requests.
- Operating a range of MRI equipment, assessing the patients' needs and being able to adapt and modify MR techniques according to the patient's condition. Attending to the patients` safety and welfare at all times.
- To evaluate MR images for diagnostic quality, and alert clinicians of any abnormality when appropriate
- Assist and prepare patients and equipment for specialised examinations undertaken by senior MRI staff, Radiologists and other clinicians.

Qualification /Training
Essential
- BSc or equivalent in radiography
Desirable
- Knowledge of current trends in radiography
Experience
Essential
- Good practical abilities within all general aspects of radiography.
- Post graduate experience in radiography
Desirable
- Range of experience, in and out of hours
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of patient pathway, and multi-disciplinary working. Knowledge of evaluation criteria for image analysis.
- Flexible approach
- Able to manipulate and move patients to obtain images whilst adhering to H&S Legislations. Good IT skills. A good level of fitness.
Desirable
- Able to manage own work load and work as either team member or independently.
- Evaluation of performance, evidence of reflective practice and self- development
