Mental Health Assistant - WokinghamPay: £90.00 - £105.00 per dayStart Date: ASAP Are you a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Assistant looking for a rewarding new role in Wokingham? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people who may experience mental health, emotional, and behavioural difficulties? A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in Wokingham is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include SEMH, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour. The successful Mental Health Assistant will work closely with Teachers, Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff, and other professionals to provide consistent support and create a safe and nurturing learning environment. This Mental Health Assistant role will involve: Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needsSupporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategiesBuilding positive and trusting relationships with pupilsHelping to create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environmentSupporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom This Mental Health Assistant role would suit someone with previous experience working with children, young people, mental health, SEN, or behavioural needs.
