The post holder will greet patients on entry to the practice and provide a point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff.
Duties will involve
Answering telephone calls, booking appointments and taking messages as required
Dealing with all patient enquiries
Using appointment systems to book appointments and recalls
Explaining practice arrangements to new and temporary patients
Ensuring consulting rooms and waiting areas are prepared and kept tidy each day
Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
Skills/abilities required
Excellent customer service skills
Good standard of general education
Strong communication skills both oral and written
I.T. Literate
Excellent organisation skills
Flexible and adaptable
Well motivated
Previous work experience in a similar environment would be desirable
A DBS check will be requested for the successful applicant.

Wychbury Medical Group is a large, well-established GP practice serving approximately 23,000 patients across three sites. The role is primarily based at Wychbury Medical Centre, with occasional requirements to attend our other two sites; all locations are within a 3-mile radius.
We have a large, friendly, and supportive administration team, the majority of whom are based at Wychbury Medical Centre. Teamwork, mutual respect, and a patient-centred approach are central to how we work, and new colleagues are welcomed and supported as part of the wider practice team.

Qualifications

- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above. Good standard of general education.
