Our reception team are the first point of contact for
our patients and play an important role in understanding patients needs,
resolving queries, dealing with prescription requests and either booking an
appointment with the most appropriate clinician at the practice or signposting
the patient to a service outside the practice.
You
dont need to have worked in healthcare before as long as you have excellent
people skills, a good attention to detail and you are willing and eager to
learn new skills. We will provide in-house training and support.

The post is part
time (22.5 hours per week) and will be mostly based at The Robert Darbishire Practice in Rusholme Health
Centre, although you will need to be able to travel to our other sites
if needed. The usual working hours are Monday
& Tuesday 08:00 - 16:30, Saturday 08:45 - 17:15.
Salary will be in
the range £26,300 to £27,581 depending on experience (pro rata to full time of
37.5 hours per
week). We offer membership of the NHS Pension Scheme and 5.4-6.6 weeks' holiday
(depending on NHS service) plus bank holidays (pro rata). [The post is not

Darbishire Practice in Rusholme Health Centre (which is also head office) and
which has a branch at The University of Manchester, Brooklands Medical Practice
in Wythenshawe and The Whitswood Practice in Alexandra Park Health Centre. In

Qualifications
Essential
- A good standard of grammar and spelling in the English language.
- General education to GCSE level or equivalent.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role, and there is a significant training period. Therefore you must meet one of the following requirements: British or Irish citizen, or, indefinite leave to remain in the UK, or, a Student Visa that allows you to work the required hours and which expires no less than 18 months after the application closing date. If you are a British or Irish citizen, state that, and otherwise state your visa status.

- Training or qualifications in customer service, IT or other related areas.
