You will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team providing both screening and symptomatic breast imaging to the population of North and West Cumbria. You will gain a wealth of experience in breast imaging supported by the existing breast imaging team.
The North Cumbria Breast Screening Unit provides screening to approximately 22,500 women per year between the ages of 50-70 as part of the National Health Service Breast Programme.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc Radiography or equivalent.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Good command of the English language with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Post Graduate qualifications at Masters level in Mammographic practice
Desirable: - oEssential IT skills or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Radiography
- Wide range of practical experience
- Experience of supervision of less experienced radiographers, students and departmental staff.
- Knowledge of National Health Service Breast Screening Programme and symptomatic services
- Radiation Protection
- Continuing professional development with portfolio.
Desirable
- Breast Imaging.
- National Health Service Breast Screening Service Programme for England.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of screening services.
Skills and Aptitudes
Essential
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills whilst respecting confidentiality
- Leadership skills.
- Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
