Were now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Maintenance Coordinator at Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. Your focus will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities, whilst maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building. Other responsibilities include resolving maintenance concerns promptly, engaging with approved contractors, and sourcing alternative suppliers. You will cover all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems. This role involves direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, supervision, objective setting, annual reviews, and managing holiday authorisation. Your focus asaMaintenance Coordinator will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities, whilst maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude
- Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly. This isaccomplishedwitha working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements. These systems include plumbing,heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs,and interior/exterior finishes.
- Engaging with approved contractors as and whenrequiredand sourcing alternative suppliers as and whenneeded.
- Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
- Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, which includes day-to-daysupervision, objective setting and annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management and holiday authorisation.

Qualifications
Essential
- Possess a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Understanding of safety and fire safety systems.
