Qualifications
Essential
- FRCS or equivalent registration
- Full GMC registration
- Possession of CCT (or equivalent) within six months of receipt at the date of interview
- Entry on Specialist register
Desirable
- Evidence of Research Activity or Higher Degree
Experience
Essential
- Understand the principles of Clinical Governance and demonstrate experience of evidence based practice
- A wide grounding during training of all aspects of emergency and elective surgery within the speciality of Vascular Surgery
- Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and postgraduates and operative skills to trainee specialists
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Able to evaluate own clinical practice
- Able to demonstrate innovative thinking
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organise and develop service provision computer literate - confident in using MS Office, Email and Internet
Desirable
- Computer literate - confident in using MS Office, Email and Internet
