You must be a holder of MRCOG, be eligible for the GMC Specialist Register in

Obstetrics and Gynaecology within six months of the time of interview.

Work

on a 1:16 rota covering both Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Cover

sessions including medium risk ANC, GOPD, Caesarean section lists, day case Theatre,

and possible Maternal medicine / Diabetes ANC.

Labour

ward is covered with a hot week rotation when the same consultant covers Monday

to Friday 8:30 to 18:00 every day.

Weekends

are split Friday / Sunday and Saturday.

You must also have excellent organisational and communication skills, be a good

team worker and have experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates.

Direct involvement in delivery of NIHR portfolio clinical research trials is

highly desirable.

You will be encouraged to develop other special interests

based on service requirements.
