- Work in partnership with the Programme Lead for Critical Care Education, the HEI and Alder Hey Academy to lead, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Advances in Paediatric Critical Care.
- Contribute & lead on the strategic planning, development, delivery, review and continuous improvement of the PGCert programme, ensuring alignment with current PCCS standards, national guidance and Higher Education quality requirements.
- Design, deliver and evaluate innovative educational programmes using a range of teaching methods including face-to-face teaching, simulation, technology-enhanced learning and workplace-based education.
- Contribute and lead on the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of all Paediatric Critical Care educational programmes, including Level 2 High Dependency and Level 3 Paediatric Critical Care pathways.
- Develop high-quality learning resources that support postgraduate education and promote evidence-based clinical practice.
- Act as a module leader, tutor and academic assessor where appropriate, supporting students throughout their educational journey.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, facilitating achievement of learning outcomes and successful completion of Level 7 assessments.
- Participate in curriculum review and programme development to ensure educational provision remains responsive to service needs, national recommendations and emerging evidence.
The postholder will be an experienced Registered Children's Nurse with substantial experience working within a Paediatric Critical Care Level 2 & 3 environment. They will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based education that develops a competent, confident and compassionate paediatric critical care workforce.
Working as part of the Paediatric Critical Care Faculty, the postholder will work collaboratively with the Higher Education Institution (HEI), Alder Hey Academy and the Paediatric Critical Care Society (PCCS) to ensure educational provision meets national standards for specialist paediatric critical care education.
