Knowledge
Essential
- Up to date knowledge of training delivery and development.
- Knowledge of teaching and learning theory and best practices in effectively delivering training.
- Specialist knowledge in planning, creating, leading and evaluating training events, designed to effectively meet the identified learning needs of a multidisciplinary and diverse workforce.
- Knowledge of current developments in training media and presentation techniques to maximise the effectiveness of resources and the flexibility of access to training.
- Broad knowledge of HR processes, such as appraisals.
- IT literate and good knowledge of IT Packages. (Microsoft Office)
Desirable
- Good understanding of NHS initiatives.
- Service improvement and lean concepts and models.
- Knowledge of psychometric and other assessment tools to aid personal and professional development.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or relevant experience.
- Training, teaching or facilitation qualification or relevant experience.
- Evidence of recent continuing professional development.
Desirable: - Coaching Qualification or Equivalent.; - Management Qualification or relevant experience.; - CIPD Qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience of developing, planning, organising and delivering of training programmes.
- Experienced in group facilitation skills to maximise the benefits of effective group working.
- High-quality interpersonal skills, with confidence to communicate positively (day to day, and through the medium of training) at all levels within the Trust and in external organisations.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to deliver a high-quality training service, which covers a diverse range of subjects, to staff working within all disciplines in the Trust.
- Able to problem solve and analyse data.
- To be innovative, with the ability to 'think differently' and challenge current behaviours and mindsets.
- Experience of leading and managing a wide range of training courses.
- Self- motivated, flexible 'can-do' team worker.
- Resilient and can adapt to change.
Desirable
- Previous experience of working within complex organisation.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring.
- Data collation & report creation experience.
- Persuasion, influencing & negotiation skills.
- Experience of leading and managing a wide range of training courses.
Contractual
Essential: - To work flexibly when required to meet the needs of the service.; - Ability to travel between geographical sites when required.
