You will be responsible for
- Leading the delivery of a high-quality E-Rostering service that supports the achievement of national and local Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Managing and developing the E-Rostering team, ensuring effective workload management and service delivery.
- Designing, promoting, and delivering comprehensive E-Rostering training programmes.
- Acting as the Trust's expert point of contact for E-Rostering advice, troubleshooting, and system support.
- Supporting compliance with the Trust's E-Rostering and Safe staffing policies through regular review of processes and practices.
- Analysing rostering activity, workforce demand, and establishment data to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Producing accurate and timely workforce reports, dashboards, and KPI information to support operational decision-making.
- Providing workforce data and analysis to Groups, highlighting trends, risks, and establishment concerns.
- Conducting data quality audits and supporting system upgrades, developments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting best practice in roster management and supporting managers to maximise workforce utilisation

Qualifications
Essential
- Current professional registration
- Demonstrable CPD
- Graduate and/or working towards Master's degree
- Completed RL Datix training modules or willing to complete
Desirable
- Completion of leadership development programme/ course/module
Experience
Essential
- Professional clinical experience at a senior level
- Significant experience leading rostering, staffing, workforce deployment, or operational workforce services.
- Experience of eRostering systems, workforce reporting, and performance management.
- Experience of change management and quality improvement techniques e.g. UHCWi methodology, NHSE improvement methodology or Lean
- Experience of managing and completing complex projects requiring communication which may be highly complex, highly sensitive, highly contentious and/or conflicting
- Proven leadership experience, including line management experience
Desirable
- Experience of reviewing workforce models
Knowledge
Essential
- A sound knowledge of professional priorities and issues
- Strong knowledge of safer staffing principles, workforce planning, and roster governance
- A sound knowledge and experience of E -rostering systems management and solutions
- Knowledge of the national and local NHS healthcare agenda and its implications
Desirable
- Knowledge of research/audit processes and application
Skills
Essential
- Demonstrate ability to produce complex reports and formulate policies
- Highly developed communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
- Demonstrate substantial level of digital literacy, with ability to be proficient in the use of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software
- Ability to present complex and challenging issues to senior management and clinicians

- Ability to critically appraise data to determine impact and consequences.
