The primary duties of the post are to assess and manage patients within the Emergency Department. Support is provided by consultants until midnight daily and by Middle Grades 24/7.
This is a 6-or-12-month post in the Emergency Department. This is excellent opportunity to be signed off for adult competencies.The department is a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre for both adults and children and fully accredited for Paediatric Emergency Medicine training.

Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC
- MRCEM
Desirable
- Relevant parts of post-graduate diplomas
- ATLS, ALS, APLS (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential
- Significant qualification work in acute or emergency specialties
Desirable
- Previous ED experience
- Relevant procedural skills
- Research experience or publications

- Teaching and training skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Desirable
- IT skills: Powerpoint, Excel etc
- Good organisational skills
