Join our team as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Nephrology at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where you'll be immersed in an esteemed department ...

To provide general medical care within the department in close co-operation with colleagues and other specialties

To provide emergency general medical care within the on-call rota

To participate in the department's teaching, audit, and educational activities

Qualifications

Essential

  • Hold a current licence to practice from the General Medical Council

Desirable

  • Advanced Life Support Certificate or equivalent
  • (MRCP) or qualification of an equivalent level

Experience

Essential

  • Experience and knowledge at core level in Nephrology or equivalent.
  • Completed Foundation Year training or equivalent

Desirable

  • NHS experience

Fitness to Practice

Essential

  • Up to date and fit to practice safely and aware of own training needs
  • Evidence of engagement with appraisal and revalidation

Skills

Essential

  • Able to evidence engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and the learning from errors
  • Able to show situational awareness and application of good decision making
  • Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
  • Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues

Desirable

  • Ability to teach clinical skills
  • Experience in organising educational activities

Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience of audit
