The duties will include 1 in 8 resident on call. This post is to cover intensive care at the Hillingdon site.
The department runs a busy structured training programme and appointees are encouraged to take part in this. The hospital has the facility of an excellent Post Graduate Department.
We expect the appointees to be able to work flexibly with colleagues and with changing service requirements. The department consists of 32 Consultants, 12 Speciality Doctors, 9 Clinical Fellows and 18 residents.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

- Eligible for full registration with the GMC
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience
- 3 months exposure to ICU training
- Previous employment in UK hospital
Desirable
- Primary / FRCA or equivalent Or part 1 MRCP, MRCS
- Airway experience
- ALS
- Some scientific publications of acceptable standard
