Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and forming part of the Senior Clinical Team, you will provide values-led, strategic leadership across clinical services, quality governance, and education. Youll champion innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvementensuring regulatory excellence and the highest standards of care.

About St. Rocco's Hospice

St Roccos ethos is to support people in the Warrington community from the moment they are diagnosed with an illness that is no longer curable. We look after people over the age of 18 years with any kind of life-limiting illness, this can include heart failure, respiratory conditions, and neurological diseases.

We also support families and loved ones. When someone is ill, life can be turned upside down for their family and for friends and carers. Thats why were here for everyone that needs us, for as long as they need.

Our services are free of charge, and we care for our community across Warrington and we aim to be available to our patients and those important to them every step of the way and our specialist care extends to the very end of life. The patient is always at the heart of everything we do.

Our care is holistic, which means that we support all needs of the patients we care for. This includes physical, psychological, social and/or spiritual support. We work closely with health and social care professionals so that our care is the best it can be to help our patients get the most from life.

People often tell us they wish they had spoken to us sooner because we can make sure a positive difference to their quality of life and wellbeing.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Education/Qualifications
  • 1st level Registered General Nurse.
  • First Degree in Nursing or willing to work towards.
  • Relevant additional qualification/s in palliative care.
  • Meet the CQC criteria and interview process to enable registration of registered manager with CQC.
  • Knowledge/experience/skills
  • Significant experience of working in a community environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of experience in delivering palliative care
  • Significant experience of managing and developing people
  • Experience of leading and managing change
  • Experience of mentoring staff
  • Leadership qualities
  • Experience of using IT software
  • Independent working
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Record keeping
  • Time management
  • Communication
