The post holder will be responsible in collaboration with the team for crisis assessments and interventions of children and young people referred to our service: the ability to make balanced decisions and use a positive approach whilst managing potentially high risk situations is an essential part of the role. The post involves interagency liaisons with all the local authority and third sector services. Child and Family Social Services, Education department and other agencies, as required. The post will primarily be based at the CCAMHS clinic and you may also be required to work with young people and their families within their own home or Paediatric ward at the local hospital St Mary's.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Professional degree or equivalent qualification in nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other relevant profession with related CAMHS experience.
  • All applicants will require professional registration with a statutory body: the Nursing Midwifery Council, General Social Care Council, Health Professional's Council, and Chartered Clinical Psychologists by BPS.
  • Past qualifying training in CAMHS or therapeutic approaches with children and young people and their families.
