The Incinerator Loaders - Waste Collectors will assist the Environmental Services Manager and his/her staff in providing an efficient waste collection and reception service

To assist the Environmental Services Manager and Lead Engineer in providing an efficient waste collection and reception services

To act as main reception for all wastes coming into the Incinerators from;

Both on site customers, and the Logistics TeamFrom outside contracted customers via the waste collection vehicleFrom contracted customers delivering their own wastes.All in accordance with Waste Licensing Regulations

To ensure that all procedures for the Receipts of Waste are carried out, and that any discrepancies are reported to the Environmental Services Manager or the Lead Engineer as soon as possible in accordance with the Environmental Management System (EMS)

To maintain the service yard, waste receiving areas, in a clean and orderly system

To ensure that wastes are handled correctly using PPE as procedures, and all waste is placed in appropriate containers

To be familiar with the Incinerator Permit, and adhere to conditions therein regarding the keeping of wastes within licensed areas

To enter all data with regard to waste received on waste management data base using computer and electronic devices

As there is a 12-week probationary period, successful candidates are expected to have the Right to Work for a period of at least 6 months from the proposed start date. Immigration and Right to Work status will be discussed with successful candidates at conditional offer. CUH will not offer sponsorship to candidates that have applied for a fee waiver.

Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full time permanent contract unless you have:- applied for a Graduate visa- or you will have successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment- or the Trust has agreed that they will Sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment

Qualification

Essential: - Good numeracy and literacy

Desirable: - Fork Lift License; - Computer skills

Experience

Desirable: - NHS experience; - Shift work; - Waste Management experience

Knowledge

Essential: - Manual handling techniques.; - Be helpful and understanding of customer needs; - Understanding of H & S in the workplace

Desirable: - Knowledge of site and departments.; - Handling/Segregation knowledge

Skills

Desirable: - Basic Computer skills; - Welding experience

Additional Requirementss

Desirable: - Experience of dealing with the public in a service led environment.
