The post holder is required to provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks in the Imaging Directorate. A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Reception / clerical duties including data entry are essential elements of the role.

  • Chaperoning duties
  • Trolley prep using ANTT
  • Assisting in breast biopsies
  • Wound care
  • Emotional support for patients at a stressful and distressing time with difficult and lengthy procedures
  • Working within the team and multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to follow a specific system of work
  • Stock management
  • Frequent use and input on hospital patient management systems
  • Cross site working
  • Reception cover.

Essential

  • English and Maths GCSE pass or equivalent

Desirable

  • NVQ2 Healthcare

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting - 2 for patient facing care role 1 for admin role
  • evidence of good literacy - does the application form demonstrate good literacy skills, punctuation, grammar, logical sense
  • Ability to follow a system of work - evidence of working in a team, multiple tasks within role/pathway, work within clinic setting
  • Evidence of computer use and patient management systems
  • Willingness to progress and learn - 1 for additional courses above stat and mand, 1 for additional duties, 1 for any other evidence of proactive behaviours
