As Hospital Director at Aberbeeg Hospital, you will be responsible for leading and managing full clinical and administrative teams to ensure that excellent care is delivered and maintained, with quality and financial targets met. You will take on the overall leadership and management responsibility of the service, direct the multidisciplinary team, and focus on operational performance while developing commercial opportunities. Your tasks will entail facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, promoting and enhancing the hospitals reputation for specialist care and service, and engaging with Provider Collaboratives. The role includes fulfilling the Registered Manager position per HIW expectations and ensuring both quality and financial targets are achieved.

You will be leading and managing full clinical and administrative teams, ensuring excellent care is delivered and maintained, and ensuring quality and financial targets are met.

As the Hospital Director at Aberbeeg Hospital, you will have overall leadership and management responsibility of the service, lead the multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for operational performance whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice.
  • Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met
  • Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategy of the service, ensuring adherence to the service’s objectives, quality improvement and business plans.
  • Promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for specialist care and service
  • Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per HIW expectations
  • Engagement with Provider Collaboratives

To be successful as Hospital Director, you will:

  • Have a excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector
  • A clinical background in and understanding of Mental Health.
  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential).
  • An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
  • A credible, inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership and sound underpinning knowledge to provide direction and implement change.
  • Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health sector organisation.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS and Independent Healthcare sectors.

A credible, inclusive and supportive management style combined with strong leadership and a sound knowledge base to provide direction and implement change.
