Within this role you will

  • Take a leadership role to continue to develop our service for children with language disorders
  • Supervise junior staff including newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SLT)
  • Support the evaluation and quality improvement of the SLT service with the support of the clinical team leads
  • Be able to manage a diverse and varied paediatric caseload of children who are in schools and resource bases
  • Develop your leadership and management skills within the Mainstream Primary Schools SLT including service development

Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • Health Professions Council - License to Practice
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists

Desirable

  • ADOS competencies

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant specialist experience post qualification working as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience of operational caseload management for children with an SLCN
  • Experience in assessment and intervention of children aged 4-18 years
  • Experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of service improvement projects

Desirable

  • Experience working with assistants
