Higher Therapy Support Worker

The role involves working with patients in a ward setting under supervision and guidance from a qualified Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.

You will be responsible for managing your own delegated clinical caseload and support qualified professionals in completion of mobility and transfers assessments. Your role will be to carry out delegated tasks and support with all aspects of discharge planning.

General educational qualificat

Professional qualification

Essential: - NVQ level 3 in Health (Allied Health Profession support - Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) or be prepared to commencement one

Work experience

Essential: - Previous work experience as a Therapy Support worker within NHS Therapy environment or equivalent e.g. Community Rehab/Therapy teams

Desirable: - Acute NHS inpatient therapy support worker experience at B2 or above.

Essential: - Knowledge of working within therapy department and job role within the acute setting

Desirable: - Demonstrates understanding of Therapy support worker role
