Patient Care & Recovery: Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care that promotes optimum independence, encouraging service users to engage in therapeutic activities to support their wellbeing and recovery.

Physical Health Monitoring: Carry out essential physical health checks, accurately record observations using the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2) system, and promptly inform the nurse in charge of any changes.

Communication & Support: Act as a empathetic point of contact for patients, carers, and colleagues--sharing clear routine information (orally, written, or electronically) and providing appropriate advice and support.

Daily Ward Support: Carry out day-to-day clinical and administrative tasks allocated by the nurse in charge, ensuring the ward runs smoothly and safely.

Professional Development: Maintain a flexible working approach to shift patterns and actively engage in ongoing self-development and trust training opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- To have a working understanding of mental health conditions appropriate to the setting
- Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of people.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, under the direction and supervision of a registered practitioner
Training, Qualifications and Registration
Essential
- Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social care or equivalent
- Care Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience
Essential
- A varied and considerable experience of working within Mental Health/Learning Disabilities setting.
