Healthcare Assistant – Surrey
Location: Surrey Salary: £16 - £18.50 per hour Job type: Temporary Shifts: Days, nights, evenings and weekends available About the role We are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to support individuals across Surrey. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients and service users in settings such as care homes, supported-living services, residential homes and community-based services. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals who are committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives. Key responsibilities Your duties may include:
Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing and toiletingAssisting with mobility, transfers and repositioningSupporting service users with meals, hydration and daily activitiesProviding companionship and emotional supportMonitoring and reporting changes in a service user’s conditionMaintaining accurate care records and daily notesSupporting individuals to remain as independent as possibleFollowing individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding proceduresMaintaining dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all timesWorking effectively with nurses, care staff, families and other healthcare professionals Requirements Applicants should have:
Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support WorkerA caring, patient and respectful approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamReliability, flexibility and good time-management skillsA good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred careThe right to work in the UK A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ or QCF in Health and Social Care, is desirable but not essential. Successful applicants will be required to complete the appropriate pre-employment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check. What we offer
