- Provide strategic, professional and operational nursing leadership across Children and Young People's services.
- Lead and support nursing teams to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care for children, young people and their families.

Essential
- Registered Nurse (Child)
- Formal Management qualification or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience.
Desirable
- Master's degree or working towards one.
Experience
Essential
- Extensive successful experience in a demanding Senior Nurse role or equivalent managerial role at a senior level within a complex organisation
- Significant experience of HR management, including managing grievance and disciplinary hearings
- Experience of working in an operational nursing senior capacity
- Demonstrable experience in working with external partners and meeting their needs in relation to quality initiatives
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of management and handling of data and information
Skills
Essential
- Critical analysis and imaginative problem solving
- Understanding and experience of strategic issues and management
- Proven record of innovative management including effective use of resources in change management
- Proven success as a leader and member of a team, achieving corporate and local objectives
- Effective negotiating, influencing and leadership and ability to build and motivate teams
