  • Obtaining Patient consent for the collection of bloods samples.
  • Performing venepuncture in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records on the clinical system.
  • The correct labelling, packing and storing of samples.
  • Ensuring samples are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining an effective liaison with the laboratory staff.
  • Working collaboratively with the clinical team and seeking guidance when necessary for patient related matters.
  • Perform ECGs
  • Carry out simple injections under PSDs

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic phlebotomist/HCA

with a can-do attitude to compliment our practice team, to support our practice

in continuing to deliver patient-centred care.

Springfenisco Healthlink based in Darwen is a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice with a branch surgery in Feniscowles and a sister practice, Pringle Street Surgery, in Blackburn. Together, we provide high-quality, patient-centred care to approximately 7,000 patients across our three sites, working collaboratively to meet the needs of our local communities.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of three GP Partners, supported by experienced Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners, GP Registrars, Foundation Year Doctors, and a dedicated administration and reception team. As an accredited training practice, we are committed to supporting the development of future healthcare professionals while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  • Must have previous phlebotomy experience
