Work closely with CNS team and Consultants to support patients in clinic, HODU and the wards

Qualifications
Essential
- Literate and numerate - Basic Skills Maths and English level 2 (GCSE A-C equivalent)
- Computer literate with knowledge of IT systems such as Word and Excel
Desirable
- Administration qualification
- Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets
- HNC or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent evidence of working at that level
Experience
Essential
- Experience within the NHS or similar environment (e.g. Dept of Health or other public service)
- Experience of working with cancer patients or within a relevant clinical setting
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, their families and or carers and members of the multidisciplinary team
Desirable
- Experience of audit and data collection
- Experience of telephone triage and patient contact
- Experience of Waiting Time Targets
- Experience of working with patients
Skills
Essential
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Understands the need to prioritise and cope with changes at short notice.
- Understands confidentially
