Gynaecology Unit Manager

The post holder will lead and manage the nursing and support workforce, promote professional excellence through practice development, and drive continuous quality improvement through robust clinical governance processes.

They will act as a clinical expert and role model, supporting staff development, service innovation and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and experiences.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and exercise professional judgement whilst maintaining accountability for operational performance, workforce management, quality, governance and patient safety across Gynaecology Outpatients, EPU and GAU.

Education and Training

Desirable: - CQI Practitioner; - Master's Degree or working towards; - Professional Nurse Advocate

Knowledge

Desirable: - Knowledge of NHS operating framework; - Knowledge of patient pathways and RTT; - Experience of budget management

Desirable: - PDN experience
