A

prosthetist designs, fabricates, and fits artificial limbs (prostheses)

for patients who have experienced limb loss due to congenital conditions,

amputation, or injury, helping them to regain mobility, function, and

independence. Their role involves

assessing patient needs, working with technicians to create custom-fit devices,

and providing follow-up care to ensure proper fit and function.
