prosthetist designs, fabricates, and fits artificial limbs (prostheses)
for patients who have experienced limb loss due to congenital conditions,
amputation, or injury, helping them to regain mobility, function, and
independence. Their role involves
assessing patient needs, working with technicians to create custom-fit devices,
and providing follow-up care to ensure proper fit and function.
To provide high
quality prosthetic care, and develop a wide range of knowledge and experience
in distinct areas of practice that can be specialist in nature

Qualifications
Essential: - BSc Hons in Prosthetic and Orthotics or equivalent, required to qualify for HPCP registration
Desirable: - HPCP registered prosthetic clinician with some clinical experience desirable
Knowledge and skills
Desirable
- Experience in lower limb prosthetics and upper limb prosthetics prescribing
- Good computer skills and presentation skills
- Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office products
- Experience with Cad system desirable
- Good communicator
