Do you like a challenge? Are you interested in a job that is different every day? We are looking for a GP Practice Nurse or a Diabetic Practice Nurse....
- Will provide a full range
of nursing services to the patients of the practice, including health promotion,
health screening and health surveillance.
- Assess, diagnose and treat
specific chronic diseases working within agreed medical/nursing protocols.
- Complete health checks
immunisation and vaccination programmes.
- Working autonomously but as part of a supportive team and with guidance from GPs/Nurse
Havelock Grange is a very busy, friendly, teaching Practice which offers a supportive environment and encourages staff to fulfil their potential. Full training can be provided in all areas of the Practice Nurse role.
For the right candidate, hours and salary are flexible depending on experience and skills.
NHS Pension & Six weeks pro rata holidays
Qualifications
Essential: - Good standard of general education; - Registered Nurse; - Membership of professional body; - Chronic Disease qualification(s)
Desirable: - Sexual Health qualifications; - Contraception qualification; - Cervical Cytology qualification; - Immunisation Training
Experience
Essential
- Practical experience of working with others
- Experience of using own initiative
- Time Management and the ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)
- IT Skills
Desirable: - Experience of working within a General Practice; - Practical experience of computerised recording systems; - Conflict management
Knowledge and Behaviours
Essential: - Performing under pressure; - Team Working; - Good interpersonal and communication skills; - Planning and organising; - Adaptable and self motivated
Desirable: - Some knowledge of a Practice clinical system
