Ardleigh Surgery on behalf of Stour Estuary PCN, are seeking a GP Assistant to join our team. This role is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st...

  • Taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.
  • Assisting with routine medical procedures under supervision.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is recorded in electronic health records.
  • Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised environment in the practice.

We are a friendly, well-organised training practice looking after 17,600 patients in an impressive purpose-built GP surgery, located within a community hospital in the seaside town of Harwich in Essex.

Experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or alone.
  • IT skills, including experience of working with a clinical system.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Good organisational and time-management qualities.
