The post-holder plays a vital role in the delivery of the Patient Experience projects and initiatives across the Trust, acting as a key point of contact for patients and carers who wish to share their feedback or get involved, helping to ensure the patient voice is encouraged, heard and included.

The main focus of the role is to support the Group wide FFT and the Armed Forces Community programme to coordinate the planning and deliver a range of initiatives such as project support, organise awareness events and lead in the creation of communication materials.

As a champion for patients and carers, to ensure that they have opportunities for their voices to be heard, interests recognised, and to be considered as partners in decision making, service development and design.

Another key aspect of this role will be continuing to build on strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust systems are in place to support patients, carers and staff ensuring that our guidelines and policies are used by staff / carers.

St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George's Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
