About the Opportunity
GPs engaged by LCW provide
urgent care services to a diverse patient population presenting with a broad
range of conditions appropriate to an Urgent Treatment Centre setting.
Practitioners are expected
to exercise their own professional judgement and clinical autonomy in the
delivery of services, working collaboratively alongside multidisciplinary
healthcare teams.
Available sessions are
offered across multiple UTC locations, allowing clinicians the flexibility to
choose where and when they wish to provide services, subject to service
Session Availability
Sessions are managed
through RotaMaster. Available shifts are regularly published, and clinicians
may express interest in individual sessions or blocks of sessions, subject to
service demand and mutual agreement.
There is no obligation for
LCW to offer work, nor for clinicians to accept offered sessions.
Engagement Basis
This opportunity is
offered on a self-employed contractor basis. Successful applicants will provide
services as independent practitioners and will be responsible for their own tax
and National Insurance arrangements.

Experience
Essential
- Relevant urgent care, UTC, out-of-hours or emergency medicine experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
- Inclusion on a GP Performers List.
- Appropriate professional indemnity arrangements.
