As a General Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will carry out a range of tasks to help provide the quality care and support our residents deserve. The role involves diverse responsibilities across housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and catering. You will play your part in creating a warm and homely environment, putting residents first and building positive professional relationships. As this is a Bank position, you will provide cover as needed, such as for annual leave or sick leave, with varying hours and days. Individuals in this role come from all walks of life, and being reliable, compassionate, and caring are essential attributes.

It's because this is such a wide-reaching role that you'll be able to play your own part in creating a warm and homely environment. Caring and empathetic, as a General Assistant you'll put our residents first and build the kind of positive professional relationships with them that make their experience with us happy and meaningful.

As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
