Exercise Instructor - Respiratory Service - Pulmonary Rehabilitation

You will support the delivery of evidence based Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes under the supervision of Physiotherapists and other Allied Health Professionals. Working within community venues across Stoke-on-Trent, you will help create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel confident to participate and achieve their goals.

Supporting and delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation exercise sessions.

Monitoring patients during exercise and responding appropriately to concerns.

Setting up and maintaining rehabilitation equipment.

Providing encouragement, health promotion and physical activity advice.

Maintaining accurate clinical records and supporting administrative tasks.

Working closely with Physiotherapists, Nurses and Assistant Practitioners.

Level 2 Sports/Fitness qualification or willingness to undertake training.

GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.

Experience working within health, social care, rehabilitation or fitness environments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate individuals with varying levels of confidence and physical ability.

Good organisational and IT skills.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Ability to travel independently between community sites.

Desirable Criteria Experience delivering group exercise sessions.

Experience supporting individuals with long term health conditions.

Experience working within community healthcare settings.

Understanding of rehabilitation, behaviour change or health promotion.

Additional Information 0.8 WTE with some flexibility around working hours.

Regular travel across community locations in Stoke-on-Trent is required.
