The role will have a particular focus on ensuring that patient-facing digital services, including PEP functionality such as appointment management, digital letters, questionnaires, Patient Reported Outcome Measures, NHS App integration and patient access to information, are implemented safely and effectively. This includes supporting services to prepare for adoption, managing clinical workflow impacts, identifying digital inclusion and accessibility risks, and contributing to measurable benefits for patients, staff and services.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered healthcare professional with current NMC, HCPC or GMC registration.
- Postgraduate training or equivalent senior experience in digital health, clinical informatics, change management, quality improvement, programme implementation or operational leadership.
- Master's level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development relevant to clinical practice, digital transformation, leadership or informatics.
Desirable
- Clinical Safety Officer training.
- PRINCE2, AgilePM, Managing Successful Programmes, quality improvement or equivalent project/change qualification.
- Training, coaching, education or facilitation qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Significant clinical experience within the NHS, with evidence of clinical leadership, service improvement or operational change.
- Significant experience of leading clinical system implementation, digital transformation or major workflow redesign in a healthcare setting, including responsibility for coordinating delivery through others across multiple services.
- Experience of engaging multidisciplinary clinical teams and translating clinical requirements into practical digital or operational solutions
- Experience of direct line management, including setting objectives, managing performance, supervising workload, supporting development and ensuring delivery through others.
- Experience of leading complex clinical or operational change across multiple services or divisions where there are competing priorities, risks, dependencies and senior stakeholder views.
- Experience of working with senior clinical, operational, digital and programme stakeholders to influence delivery, manage risk and support decision-making.
- Experience of managing operational governance, including risks, issues, dependencies, readiness evidence, escalation routes and assurance reporting.
- Experience of working with suppliers, programme teams or external partners during digital implementation.
- Experience of supporting or implementing patient-facing digital services, such as patient portals, NHS App integration, online consultations, digital letters, questionnaires or Patient Reported Outcome Measures.
Desirable
- Experience of EPR implementation across community, mental health, learning disability or specialist services.
- Experience of contributing to regional, system-wide or national digital transformation, informatics, clinical safety or patient-facing digital networks.
- Experience of contributing to clinical safety documentation, hazard reviews, safety cases or clinical risk management activity.
