- The post holder will support the Ruby Team providing safe care in the community and hospital settings. You will support our most vulnerable families and women within these teams
- . In addition, you will assist the midwifery staff to undertake assigned tasks and take appropriate interventions for women and their babies with minimal support but under direction of the midwife.
- The post holder will be responsible for liaising with external providers and stakeholders to develop and accumulate an effective system to enable the collection of reportable data

Qualifications and knowledge
Essential
- A minimum of 2 A Levels or Equivalent clinical experience within maternity services
- NVQ level 3 or Equivalent (or working towards)
Experience
Essential
- Previous experience as a healthcare support worker
- Ability to escalate any safeguarding concerns
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a community setting and with vulnerable families.
Skills
Essential
- Competent IT Skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Courteous manner
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to monitor and record mother and baby's observations and escalate abnormal results to midwife.
- Phlebotomy and blood spot screening
- Able to recognise own limitations and refer appropriately

- Experience related to child protection
