Endometriosis Nurse Specialist

The Endometriosis Nurse Specialist has a varied and autonomous role, combining specialist patient care with the coordination of complex endometriosis pathways.

You will manage your own caseload through nurse-led clinics, providing information, advice and support to patients from investigation and diagnosis through to treatment, surgery and follow-up.

A key part of the role is coordinating the Severe Endometriosis Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), working closely with endometriosis consultants and colleagues across gynaecology, colorectal surgery and urology to support well-planned, joined-up care.

You will coordinate patients requiring complex endometriosis surgery, ensuring they are prepared and supported throughout their surgical pathway. UHD runs two joint endometriosis theatre lists across its sites, so strong organisation, communication and attention to detail are essential. The role includes a significant administrative element alongside direct patient care.

As the dedicated Endometriosis Nurse Specialist, you will work autonomously while being part of a supportive team of Gynaecology Nurse Specialists and the wider MDT.

The role also offers opportunities to contribute to patient education, service improvement and the continued development of the UHD endometriosis service.
