Dynamic Support Keyworker

• Is committed to trauma-informed, neuro-affirming practice, recognising the impact of trauma, adversity and systemic barriers on people's lives.
• Upholds the rights, voices and choices of autistic people and people with a learning disability, ensuring they are at the centre of decisions that affect them.
• Takes a collaborative, strengths-based and solution-focused approach, working alongside others to develop creative and personalised responses to complex situations.
• Has experience of supporting people who may experience multiple vulnerabilities, recognising the importance of reducing distress, promoting their psychological safety and preventing unnecessary escalation.
• Has an understanding of children's, young people's and adult services, and values partnership working across organisational boundaries to improve outcomes.

Essential

• Professional qualification equivalent to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of experience of autistic people, people with learning disabilities, or both, gained through lived experience, education, youth work, health, or social services.
• Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, which require expertise within a specialism or discipline underpinned by theoretical knowledge of relevant practical experience.

Desirable

• Lived Experience specific to learning disabilities, autism or both with children, young people and adults up to the age of 25.

Essential

• Experience of working with autistic people and/or people with a learning disability, people with complex communication and behavioural issues, and their parents/families/carers.
• Experience of liaising with multi- disciplinary professionals and working across agencies, holding to account where appropriate.

Desirable

• Have experience and skills in undertaking holistic whole family assessments and risk assessments.
