The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Assesement

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • High level of IT skills with MS Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook (or similar application).
  • Experience and understanding of dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, both patient and staff related.
  • Experience of liaising with staff effectively at all levels of a complex organisation and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter, able to work unsupervised and on own initiative with the ability to prioritise own workload and multi-task.
  • Logical thinker with the ability to analyse complex information in order to pick out the key issues, make effective decisions and respond appropriately
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and time management skills

Desirable

  • Diploma or secretarial qualification or equivalent Business Administration Qualification or equivalent level of ability.
  • Experience of preparing agendas and collating papers for Executive meetings and Board Committee level meetings and following up on actions.
  • Experience of minute taking/logging actions in meetings
  • Understanding of clinical terminology and hospital procedures
