This is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring someone who can lead and deliver the people agenda, while also staying close to operational detail and supporting the business with practical, solutions-focused leadership.

The successful candidate will

Develop and deliver CHEC's People & Education strategy.

Lead workforce planning to support organisational growth and service expansion.

Drive organisational development, succession planning and leadership capability.

Build a high-performance, inclusive and values-led culture.

Provide expert advice on complex people, organisational and employment matters.

Lead major change initiatives, including acquisitions, restructures and transformation programmes.

Oversee talent attraction, resourcing and employer branding strategies.

Develop reward, recognition and employee engagement programmes that improve retention and colleague experience.

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

Lead and inspire a high-performing People and Education team.

We're looking for an experienced People leader who combines strategic thinking with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.

You'll bring

Essential

Chartered MCIPD/FCIPD (Level 7) or equivalent.

Significant senior leadership experience within HR, People, Talent or Organisational Development.

Proven success developing and delivering people strategies aligned to business growth.

Experience leading organisational change, transformation or acquisitions.

Strong workforce planning, talent management and succession planning expertise.

Extensive knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
