You will work within departmental guidelines and procedures with direct access to supervision to:
- help patients meet their nutritional requirements, observing dysphagia guidance & therapy.
- support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- support delivering nutrition & dietetic/speech & language education / training programmes.
- ensure that patient information (clinical and non-clinical) is available.
- maintain close and meaningful communication with key staff at all levels.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Level 2 Functional skills in Maths and English or equivalent ie GCSE grade C/4 or above (E)
- One of the following: 3 A levels or Science T level or NVQ level 3/SQCF level 6 or BTEC level 3 national Diploma in Nutrition or health related subject or level 3 apprenticeship such as the Senior Healthcare Support Worker (E)
Desirable
- Basic food hygiene (D)
- Care Certificate (D)
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with people from different cultures, religions and ethnic groups, able to demonstrate calm, caring patient manner / attitude (E)

- Previous experience in a healthcare or nutrition-related role, demonstrating an awareness of NHS healthcare policies and procedures (E)
