- To supervise, support and educate junior members of the team.
- Act as a role model to your team
- Ensure and maintain patient, staff and visitor safety
- Hold the site bleep responsibility
- Ensure team and patient safety-including safe guarding

- Work with the wider MDT to ensure high standards of effective patient care
- Ensure safe staffing level, contribute to off duty

Qualifications
Essential
- First level live NMC Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Nurse
- PP126/127 or AC631 or D32/33 or A1 or equivalent
- Mentorship Qualification or relevant equivalent qualification (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period)
Desirable: - Leadership course; - Management course; - Diploma or degree in nursing; - Qualification in specialty
Experience and knowledge
Essential: - Previous post registration experience; - Experience of relevant speciality; - Experience of co-ordinating a team
Desirable: - Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools; - Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods
