- Provide day to day operational management and development of children's health services, ensuring the delivery of efficient, effective and safe patient centred services within the Children's, Young People and Families Directorate.
- As a member of the Senior Directorate Management Team ensure, encourage and enable the performance and development of the community mental health services and associated standards.
- The post holder will be expected to provide direct line management support and guidance, and to represent the broad views of local clinical and operational teams within the directorate and will need to achieve a level of visibility that enables these expectations to be met.

Education / Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse or hold other professional registration or equivalent experience.
- Masters level or equivalent experience
- Significant experience in an operational management role
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Specific management and/or leadership training
Desirable
- Project Management
- Management qualification
Experience
Essential
- Substantial experience of managing people
- Experience of managing resources including financial resources
- Experience of developing policies and procedures
- Experience of investigating Serious Incidents and complaints
- Experience of partnership working across organisation boundaries
- Experience of service development and transformation and evidence of achievement in implanting change
Desirable
- Experience of working with commissioners.
- Knowledge of NHS change model
- Knowledge of using QI methodology
- Substantial senior experience of working within children's mental health including in patient settings and waiting time management.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Understanding of the NHS Long Term Plan
- Proven track record of performance and waiting list management
- Communication skills with very complex and challenging issues e.g. risk management, safeguarding, performance management, complaints

- Ability to travel independently and in a timely manner across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to meet strict deadline
