We are looking for enthusiastic registered CT Radiographers to work in close conjunction with the CT Operational Lead Radiographers, CT Modality Lead ...

The post-holder will participate in the effective running of the CT department under the direction of the senior staff, ensuring delivery of high quality patient care. In liaison with the senior radiographers the post holder will provide supervision of junior staff, students and assistant practitioners.

The centre is equipped with a GE Revolution Evo and Siemens Somatom go.Top Mobile CT scanner. We also have access to the state-of-the-art photon-counting Siemens Naeotom Alpha CT scanner providing advanced spectral imaging capabilities. In addition, we are excitedly preparing to begin using the Fujifilm Cone Beam CT scanner to support our ENT services across the Trust and from the community

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc Radiography or DCR
  • Current Health and Care Professions Council registration
  • IV cannulations- or willingness to achieve this skill in house

Desirable

  • Post Graduate qualification in CT (or willing to undertake this)
  • CT Colon training (or willingness to undertake this)
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor experience

Experience

Essential

  • Band 6 Radiographer in general and specialised Imaging procedures including CT
  • Post qualification experience
  • Evidence of CPD, including attendance at relevant short course & study days
  • Participation in Quality Assurance / Clinical Governance initiatives.

Desirable

  • Participation in the recruitment and selection process of Band 3 staff

Knowledge

Essential

  • Portfolio of evidence of continuing professional development
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance and Health and Safety

Desirable

  • Awareness of new developments in CT
  • Some knowledge of wider NHS issues
